Dr. King, wow he is amazing and has a lot of bravery. It's sad that someone had the guts to kill him across the street from the motel he was staying in, in Memphis, Tennessee. At the end of the speech when he says we will all be able to say "FREE AT LAST, FREE AT LAST, THANK GOD WE ARE FREE AT LAST", some reason it struck me more than anything because I think of the Holocaust, when we were put into slavery and into gas rooms where they would kill us. I wish that we had someone like Dr. Martin to stand up for us Jews when we were in trouble. Anyway, Dr. Martin is just a big inspiration to many people.

Response to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Speech
I just want to begin with thanking Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. because if it weren't for this amazing man, we would still have slaves and the thought of us having slaves makes me cringe. In the speech I noticed the Dr. King uses a lot of metaphors and to be honest it makes the speech a lot better. He is an inspiration to all people. He stood in front of thousands of people and told those thousands of people what was right. Even though Abraham Lincoln signed the emancipation proclamation 100 years before the speech, nothing was different.

Yea I agree with every word you just said ,entirely. I don't think I could picture life now with slaves, segregation or any of that crazy stuff. And Martin Luther King Jr. was an amazing person, it sucks to know that someone killed him just because he spoke his mind.
ReplyDeleteGirllllll. I was so into this speech. And I agree... I wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for him.
