Poem: RE: This Is Just To Say
Why have you
Eaten icey
Plums in my
White icebox,
Now we
Won't have breakfast
The plums
Were the purest
I forgive
You for eating
Them, but
You are beating,
My emotions
To a pulp
Can't handle
The awful Insult.
Explanation: The rhyme skeam is A,B,C, B, D, E, F, E, G, H, I, H, J, K, L, K.
also there is simbliance, and I think there is a little personification because you can't technically up someone's feelings.

I remember this poem from class and you have an interesting response to it! I really enjoy your use of enjambments through your rhyme scheme! It creates some sort of room for your own interpretation and how to catch on. It also flows well with the sibilance. Good job, Alyssa!!
ReplyDeleteHey Alyssa! You did a great job with the poem! It was really funny and probably how this woman felt after her husband ate her plums. I enjoyed when you described how her emotions are being beaten to a pulp haha.
